Senator Kerry, what are you going to do to make sure our troops come home now? What are you going to do to make sure that they will be taken care of them once they get here? Our troops and their families deserve an answer.
Laura, Whose Cousin Has Served Two Tours in Iraq, Lynn, MA

Dear Senator Kerry,

It has been three years since the start of the war in Iraq.  My family has been one of the lucky ones.  My cousin has returned home after two tours of duty.  He is alive.  His body is whole.  The wounds left on his young mind and spirit are harder to see, but they are there.  Yet, we are one of the lucky families and I thank God every day for our good fortune.

So many families have not been so lucky.  Thousands of families have been torn apart by the death of a loved one because of this war.  Thousands more have been devastated because their loved one has returned home horribly mutilated.  And this number gets higher every single day.

Senator Kerry, what are you going to do to make sure our troops come home now?  What are you going to do to make sure that they will be taken care of them once they get here?  Our troops and their families deserve an answer.

Sincerely,

Laura from Lynn, MA
