January 17th, 2006

Dear People,

RE: Pentagon to families: Go ahead, laugh by Gregg Zoroya, Jan. 13, 2006’ regarding the efforts of “chief laughter instructor “, retired Army colonel James "Scotty" Scott

Colonel Scott may be doing good work, but you must be aware that your headline and the tone of the article strikes like a punch in the face to people like me, who are sensitive to the loss of a family member in military service, especially in these times of all but smuggling corpses back into the U.S. under cloak of darkness. For balance I suggest Mr. Zoroya be assigned an article on Gold Star Families for Peace via interview with Cindy Sheehan. Reply to me for contact information.

Respectfully,

Jim Barber,
